Biography

Viviane is a registered psychologist with experience in various private practice and psychiatric settings, including the Northern Beaches Hospital. Viviane employs a holistic approach to mental health care that takes into account the mind-body framework. Using interventions rooted in neuroscience, developmental and psychosocial theories, Viviane can help clients to understand their emotional states through awareness and compassion so they can develop healthier, more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others.

Practicing in spirit of a non-judgmental, safe and collaborative mindset, Viviane can assist in the assessment and treatment of a range of conditions, including anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD, trauma, stress, grief and loss, life transitions and perinatal mental health.

Viviane believes in the integration of therapeutical modalities to facilitate positive changes on emotional, cognitive and behavioural domains. Her practice draws on evidence-based approaches to fit clients’ unique needs, capabilities and preferences. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Compassionate Inquiry, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Psychodynamic interventions. 

Viviane holds a Bachelor of Psychology from Macquarie University and a Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced from Monash University. Viviane is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and Australian Association of Psychologists (MAAPI).

Viviane has experience in transcultural processes and provides sessions in English and Portuguese.
