Dr Brent Thomas has been specialising in adult and old age psychiatry in the public and Catholic health care systems for 30 years. In addition to Australia, Dr Thomas gained qualifications in England and has held senior clinical roles such as being the Clinical Director of the Blacktown / Mount Druitt Mental Health Service and many years as Director, Aged Care Psychiatry and Neurosciences Unit with St Josephs’ Hospital, Auburn.
Dr Thomas has extensive teaching experience with both undergraduate and post-graduate students and in general practitioner training. He is a Supervisor with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. He takes a “whole of person” approach to patient care and works closely with other specialists to address medical conditions associated with the mental health problems.
