Biography

Daniela is a registered psychologist with extensive clinical and community experience across Australia, Brazil and the United States. Her professional journey spans private practice, community mental health and social services, supporting adults, young people and families with a wide range of emotional, behavioural and social challenges.

Daniela offers a warm, collaborative and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their concerns and move toward meaningful change. She integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, mindfulness and trauma-informed interventions. She has also undertaken training in humanistic approaches and psychoanalysis, which inform her deep respect for clients’ lived experiences and capacity for growth. She has a special interest in trauma recovery, anxiety, mood difficulties, life transitions and supporting individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Originally trained and licensed as a clinical psychologist in Brazil, Daniela also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, with an emphasis on social and behavioural sciences. This training enriches her clinical practice, allowing her to consider the broader social and cultural contexts that shape mental health and wellbeing, and to support clients in building resilience within their unique environments. Fluent in English and Portuguese, Daniela works with authenticity and empathy, tailoring therapy to each client’s goals and strengths.
